How Sandy rocked my world

Living in Hoboken in October was quite the interesting situation. Below are pictures from Hurricane Sandy and what destruction I saw in Hoboken.

This is the basement to my building:

Someone's garage. Basically all of the cars in the city were ruined

When walking around these men tapped on the window and held up this sign. They were trapped in their building. The sign said "HELP! NEED COFFEE" When I saw the coffee comment, I knew they were joking. We then talked for about 5 min. They were safe and didn't need hep. I think they were just waiting for someone to walk by to hold up their sign. In the above photo their building is on the left.

While you were walking...Streetstyle

I have recently felt no shame taking photos of people as they/I walk to work. There is still a women I am sad I didn't get a photo of last week as we were walking west on 25th street (she was on the opposite side and walking too fast!).

you can see the trends I am clearly enjoying, or maybe all NYC women are green jackets, short booties and skinnies. I also recently wore my green jacket on my european trip this summer to England, Paris and Iceland. Wouldn't you know it, of course, I can't find it now. I am sure I left it on the plane or in a taxi. Tear...

Since we last spoke

Here I am ready for #frankenstorm #HurricaneSandy so I decided to use this time to update everyone. Here I thought I was on a role about a month ago, updating and using my instagram @ksells85 as a great way to update my blog. Then once again, I fell off the wagon. So as I am back to living in Hoboken, I decided to get the ball rolling with images from the last storm I was in Hoboken for. Enjoy!
